NCCGS Meeting

Electronics and Genealogy

Mike McKee

Tips and tricks for using your smart phone, camera and portable  scanner for recording and documenting genealogical records.

Our speaker will be a NCCGS member, Mike McKee who will demonstrate how our everyday electronic devices can assist in our genealogical research.

Have you ever discovered a wonderful genealogical document but there is no scanner or copier in sight?  Have you been at a cemetery or memorial wishing you could quickly record some bit of information.

And don't forget those family photographs that a relative would like to have a copy of but you are unsure about just how to use your phone, camera or scanner to make the best copy to send electronically?

Bring your smart phones, cameras or portable scanners and Mike will show us how to use them while researching records and documents in and around the community and on the road.

Mike McKee is a graduate of Art Center College of Design,  Los Angeles and was a commercial photographer for 30 years.  For the past 16 years he has taught Communication Design at Collin College.

All visitors are welcome!
