Larry McCarthy will present:  Unmasking Twin's Jim

Our speaker for February, Larry McCarthy tells us the intriguing tale of Jim as he appears from the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckelberry Finn. Larry will connect his ancestors in association with John Quarles and Samuel Clemens.  This presentation will include the Quarles Migration Path from slavery through emancipation.  Documented evidence will be provided.

Larry is an inspirational speaker with a provocative link to Samuel Clemens.

If possible please join us for a casual dinner at Spoons on the square in downtown McKinney.  We meet at 5:00pm for a light dinner, visit and then go to the library just 3 blocks away.  If you are not able to join us for dinner we hope to see you at the Library at 6:45 for the presentation.
