Tending Freedom's Lamp

Collin County Women during the Great War

This presentation will cover three areas where Collin County women were active in their support for the war: 

Organization, rationing and morale.

Deborah Kilgore is a highly acclaimed researcher and historian having done extensive research on the textile mills and migrant camps of Texas.  She has presented at thirteen history conferences across the United States

Deborah has invited us to a special tour of the History Museum at 4:00 before the meeting.

If possible please join us for a casual dinner at Spoons Cafe on the square in downtown McKinney.  We meet at 5:00pm for a light dinner, visit and then go to the library just 3 blocks away.  If you are not able to join us for dinner we hope to see you at the Library at 6:45 for the presentation.
